Diameter Measurement Technology for Small Artery Vessel in Vitro Specimen

To Introduce a diameter measurement technology for small artery vessel in vitro specimen.Prerssure myograph system was used to observe the influence of PE of different concentrations on vasoconstriction of the second branch mesenteric artery in vitro(Vascular diameter:300 ~ 400 μm)in Wistar rats.Results:the PE caused concentration-dependent contractile response in Wistar mesenteric artery.When PE concentration ﹥ 1 μmol/L,the degree of vasoconstriction increased,with statistically significant difference(P0.05,n=6).Conclusion:Prerssure myograph could be used to measure the vascular diameter of small artery vessel.This technique is suitable for studying the effects of the vascular wall intercellular gap junction,the influence of the vascular active substance(neurotransmitter,medication,etc.)on vasodilation and contraction of the small artery vessels.
