[Clinical trial with a combination of 150 mcg of d-norgestrel and 30 mcg of ethinylestradiol. Its metabolic effects].

114 healthy and fertile patients were treated with a combination of 150 mcg of D-Norgestrel and 30 mcg of ethinyl estradiol for a total of 1164 cycles. The treatment established a regular menstrual cycle for all patients with a duration of 28.5 days and a bleeding period of 3-5 days. A small percentage of patients 3.4% complained of spotting and an even smaller percentage of breakthrough bleeding. There were 3 pregnancies due to the fact that treatment had been erroneously suspended for a few days. Side effects were minimal mainly headache and slight increase in body weight. Blood pressure was normal and so were triglycerides and cholesterol levels. (Summary in ENG)
