A novel hybrid DC/DC and modified quasi Z-source converter for enhanced voltage gain

Abstract This paper proposes the use of a novel non-isolated high gain DC/DC converter using an amalgamation of the switched-capacitor networks and modified quasi Z-Source. The suggested converter has an appropriate number of components, but its capacitors and semiconductors meet the low voltage stresses. Besides, the new converter's voltage gain is substantially higher at lower duty cycles, when compared with other converters. The new converter's efficiency is 90.488% and the gain value is 5.6. Furthermore, the steady-state analysis is specified with the design of passive components. Finally, simulation results are given in MATLAB for validation of the theoretical analysis.
