Study of the angular distribution of decay products of the ground state of /sup 8/Be

The features of measurement of angular distributions of kinematically focused products of the reaction /sup 11/B(p,..cap alpha..)/sup 8/Be are discussed. The angular distribution of ..cap alpha.. particles from breakup of the ground state of /sup 8/Be emitted at an angle of 98degree to the beam is measured. Calculations on the assumption that the breakup of /sup 8/Be is isotropic and the disintegration energy is 92 +- 2 keV are in good agreement with experiment. An exception is several symmetric points at the edges of the angular distribution, for which the difference reaches 12%.
