SUPLEMEN BUNGKIL INTI SAWIT TEPUNG DAUN KATUK BERPOTENSI MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS SPERMATOZOA PADA KAMBING PERANAKAN ETTAWA Palm Kernel Meal-Sauropus androgynus L. Merr Supplement Have Potency to Increase the Quality of Sperm on PE Goat

This study aims to determine the effect of palm kernel meal-Sauropus androgynus L. Merr to increase the quality of sperm on PE goat. This study used 20 PE goats, aged 1-1.5 years weighing between 15-20 kg and divided into 4 groups (P0, P1, P2, and P3). P1 was given distilled water, P2 was fed with 100 g of palm kernel meal/one/day (BIS), P3 was fed with 100 g of palm kernel meal/one/day + 15 g of Sauropus androgynus L. Merr (BISKAT)/one/day, and P4 was fed with 15 g of Sauropus androgynus L. Merr/one/day. Five PE goats of each group were castrated then the quality of sperm (motility, viability, integrity of membrane, and abnormality) was evaluated. The result showed that the suplementation of BISKAT can increase the motility, viability, integrity of membran, and reduce the abnormality of sperm. It can be concluded that BISKAT supplement is potential to increase the quality of sperm of PE goat.
