Síndrome de Sweet y factor estimulante de colonias de granulocitos (G-CSF). Descripción de un caso con esta posible relación

2000
Many factors have been proposed as causative agents, of Sweet's syndrome among them some citokines like haematologic growing factors. We describe the case of a 75-year-old woman with a centrofolicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma who developed Sweet's syndrome after being treated with granylocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) for a post-chemotherapy febrile neutropenic episode. We discuss the etiopathogenic and clinical aspects of Sweet's syndrome in relation to G-CSF therapy, emphasizing the rare occurrence of this association. We also remark on some interesting features of this case: a) the exclusive location on hands, without lesions on other areas; b) the nine day period of time pased between the institution of the G-CSF therapy and the clinical appearance of the Sweet's syndrome (an the five day period of time after its withdrawal), and c) its occurrence in a patient previously diagnosed of centrofolicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
