Using web 2.0 technologies for teaching technical courses

2019
Embedded Systems is one field of Computer Science that has been developing in the latest years in an accelerated fashion. Automotive industry, Internet-of-Things, mobile devices are just a few examples which are existing due to embedded systems. Teaching such a domain comprise of different specific notions like registers, peripherals, pulse width modulations, programming, but also the state-of-the-art applications where all the notions can be applied. In this regard, tutors are researching new innovative modalities that can enhance the learning process of the students, but also their interest. In this paper we are presenting how web 2.0 technologies can be applied into teaching embedded systems courses. The obtained results show that students are interested in using such technologies when combined with embedded systems projects, but also, sentiment analysis on the received feedback shows that the overall attitude of the students is positive.Embedded Systems is one field of Computer Science that has been developing in the latest years in an accelerated fashion.
