Parametrized Modelling of a Hybrid Electromagnetic System with Magnetic Modulation

2019
Parametrized model of a hybrid electromagnetic system featuring modulation of the magnetic flux has been developed using the finite element method and COMSOL software. The model gives opportunity to study the influence of different geometric and physical parameters on the performance of the system. The system consists of a core, permanent magnet and three coils – one input and two output coils. The input coil is supplied by a pulse voltage source. Active loads are connected to the output coils. The problem has been solved as a coupled problem electromagnetic field – electric circuit one. Results have been obtained for the distribution of the magnetic field and the power of the output coils when varying three geometric parameters. The developed model can serve as a basis for further optimization of the system.
