Conidial states of British species of Leptosphaeria

Twenty–one species of British Leptosphaeria which have been grown in culture are described and illustrated. L. aquilana, L. artemisiae, L. jaceae, L. macrospora, L. marcyensis, L. palustris, L. pratensis, L. solani, L. spartinae, L. submaculans, L. typhicola and L. viridella are recorded for the first time in Britain. The cultural characteristics and conidial states where present are described for all the species. The conidial states are included in the following form-genera: Diplodina, Hendersonia, Phoma, Rhabdospora, Septoria and Stagonospora .
