Concrete is one of the most used materials in the world and has been object of advanced researches aiming to obtain a better performance and durability of the structures. Concrete production using rational mixtures provides better performance of the material at a lower cost, avoiding waste. This research intends to show the characteristics of the compressive strength of the concrete produced in the city of Caruaru, located in Pernambuco State, generating knowledge on the subject for the area, which has a high economic growth. The compressive strength is usually used as the main parameter to measure the quality of the concrete mixture and the concrete control, due to the easy performance of the test and as a sensible parameter to infer changes in the concrete mixture, allowing observing modifications in other properties of concrete. The main idea of this research is to analyze the compressive strength in the age of 3, 7 and 28 days, tensile compression strength to diameter, elasticity module, absorption and the consistency of the concrete through by measuring the reduction of the slump test for three different cements of the region.
