Studies on Spectral Properties of Photochromic Spiropyrans Having an Aromatic Fused Ring or Heterocycle Group and Their Interactions with DNA

The photochromic and fluorescent properties of nine spiropyrans with an aromatic fused ring or heterocycle group were studied. Their interactions with DNA were investigated by UV Vis absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra.
