Created is a combustion liner cap (112) having a center cap main body portion (120) and a fuel nozzle portion, which is defined around the circumference of the cap center body portion. A plurality of fuel nozzle openings (116) are formed through the fuel nozzle portion therethrough, and a plurality of air jetting holes (114) are formed through the cap center body portion therethrough, and each air jet opening is along a radius of the chamber wall cap aligned to a respective fuel nozzle orifice.
