Emission Spectroscopic Study on Laser Plume of Y1Ba2Cu3Ox

1996
To characterize the plume generated by the laser ablation of Y1Ba2Cu3Ox, time- and spatialresolved emission spectra of the plume species are taken at different distances from the target in an oxygen atmosphere. It was revealed that velocity of the neutral atom was slower than that of the identical ion. At longer than 20 mm from the target the emission intensity drastically increased at oxygen pressure higher than ~ 0.1 Torr. The plasma temperature estimated by Boltzmann’s plot decreased to a minimum at several tens mTorr.
