A moving-boundary dynamic model for in-situ alloyed and additive manufacturing TiAl-Nb alloys

2022
Abstract Controlling the dissolution of the solid metal contact liquid metal or alloys is significantly important for some industrial processes, in particular for high temperature and long-time processes. A model for quantitatively evaluating the relationship between the dissolution thickness of Nb crucible and the increase of Nb concentration caused by dissolution is established based on the mass balance law, which supports in-situ alloyed and additive manufacturing process of TiAl-based alloys.
