Proton-conductive composite electrolyte membrane, a membrane electrode assembly and a fuel cell using the same, and manufacturing method of the proton-conductive composite electrolyte membrane

2009
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductive compound electrolyte membrane capable of making coexist excellent proton conductivity and low-fuel permeability and capable of maintaining high proton conductivity even at low humidity in a comparatively high temperature region. SOLUTION: The proton conductive compound electrolyte membrane is characterized by including an inorganic material having proton conductivity, an organic material having proton conductivity, and a dispersion medium having sulfonic acid group, wherein the inorganic material is zirconium phosphate, the interlayer distance calculated from the X-ray diffraction spectra of the zirconium phosphate is 1.3 nm or more, the average dispersion particle size of the zirconium phosphate is 1 to 40 nm, and the content of the zirconium phosphate is 5 to 50 wt.% based on the total weight of the electrolyte membrane.
