Mechanism of Recrystallisation Texture Formation in IF-Steels

1998
Deformation and recrystallisation textures were investigated on a Ti-IF steel, obtained by cold-rolling after standard hot-rolling or warm-rolling. The recrystallisation texture of the most deformed sample is a quasi-single component {223} which can be obtained from the main component of deformation texture by a 20° rotation about a axis. We propose a scenario for the recrystallisation process where oriented nucleation is induced by oriented sub-grain growth.
