Effects of Drip Irrigation under Mulch on Water Use Efficiency and Quality of Greenhouse Muskmelon

2011
This study was conducted to seek the effects of different irrigation amount on yield, water use efficiency and quality of muskmelon. The irrigation experimental study was conducted with the 'Yipin Tian Xia208' muskmelon as experimental materials in greenhouse and the water surface evaporation measured by a standard 0.2 m diameter pan was used for irrigation control.Different water-supply treatments with different evaporation coefficient, namely 0.45,0.60,0.75 and 0.90,were set up in this experiment. The results showed that the T3 had the largest yield per plant and the T1 had the minimum;the irrigation capacity and water consumption of the T3 treatment was suitable for plant growth in different processing stages;the T3 treatment had the optimal water use efficiency, which is up to 34.59 kg/m3;the relation between yield and irrigation water, water consumption volume showed significant quadratic function relationship;the T3 treatment had high yields, good quality and was propitious to improve fruit quality.
