Early metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma

HCC has poor prognosis and high recurrence rate, so early diagnosis of microscopic metastasis is very important. This essay reviews the course of the findings of cancer cell in HCC patience's peripheral blood, which is from cytology to immunohistochemical method and to molecular biological technique. Particularly the method of RT-PCR has played very important role in the finding of the microscopic metastasis of HCC by detecting ALBmRNA, AFPmRNA and MAGEmRNA in the peripheral blood.
