Aqueous emulsion based on organopolysiloxane and alkyl polyglycoside

1994
PURPOSE: To obtain an aq. emulsion based on a predetermined amt. of specific organopolysiloxane and a predetermined amt. of specific alkyl polyglycoside, showing excellent stability against a heterogenous electrolyte having good decomposability and low in toxity. CONSTITUTION: An aq. emulsion is based on 100 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane containing a polar group on an Si-C bonded hydrocarbon group [e.g.; organopolysiloxane consisting of a methyl (N-[2-aminoethyl]-3-aminopropyl) siloxy unit, a dimethylsiloxy unit and a terminal methoxydimethylsilyl group] and up to 50 pts.wt. alkyl polyglycoside (e.g.; Ultra-Turrax R made by Janke und Kunkel).
