The effect of energy mixing/balancing in high-rise building using dynamic simulation HVACSIM+

2000
A high-rise building contains vast spaces with lots of inside heat generation that needs cooling all year round, while perimeter spaces need heating in winter and intermediate seasons. Even in interior spaces heating is sometimes necessary at warming up. In those cases mixing energy loss takes place between heated area and cooled area. Between individually controlled zones energy mixing also take place without any energy loss but with variations in temperatures and supplied energy balance. The present paper introduces works on this phenomenon and reproduces it using HVAC dynamic simulations.
