Indoor unit for air conditioner

PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to have a filter efficiently removing pollutant introduced together with air through an inlet, and easily attached to and separated from the inlet. CONSTITUTION: An inlet(12) has a suction grill(31) hingedly coupled to one side of the inlet, and rotated to open and close the inlet; and a filter(40) detachably installed to an inside of the suction grill to cover the inlet. The suction grill is rotated and opened to allow the filter to be attached and separated. The inlets are formed on both sides of a cabinet(10), respectively. The suction grills and the filters are paired to be installed on the inlets formed on both of the sides of the cabinet, respectively. A tubular suction channel(30) is formed on the inlet. The filter is formed correspondingly with the suction channel to separate pollutant from air passing the suction channel. Guide grooves are formed on an upper side and a lower side of the suction channel to support an upper end and a lower end of the filter so that the filter is installed on the suction channel. A plurality of supporting bars(32) have both ends installed on both sides of the suction channel, respectively, to support an inside of the filter. Fixing hook is protrusively formed on the suction channel to be fixed to an end of the filter to support the end of the filter.
