ACOMBINED PCA/SNAKEMODEL FOR PRECISE OBJECTCONTOUR EXTRACTION

Anextended PCAalgorithm toextract moving objects ispresented inthis paper. Inthealgorithm, three frames aresufficient fortheextraction offorrigid ornon-rigid objects. Inorder toobtain a precise contour ofmovingobject, aSnakeModelisadopted toprocess theobject detection results. Inourexperiments, arange ofimagesequences isusedtotest thecombined PCA\Snake model. Theresults showthat theproposed algorithm canextract themoving objects accurately andits speed isimproved overtheconventional PCAmodel.
