A CULTURA ESCOLAR E OS USOS DOS OBJETOS NAS ESCOLAS ISOLADAS DE NOVO HAMBURGO/RS (1940-1952)

Study examines how teachers and students from rural municipal isolated schools of Lomba Grande, the city of Novo Hamburgo, have appropriated certain cultural artifacts such as materials, objects and utensils. Lomba Grande is located 40 kilometers from the Rio Grande do Sul capital and was colonized mainly by German immigrants. The theoretical framework is sustained in Cultural History and the methodology used is the oral history of supporting themselves, especially in Halbwachs (2006). With the analysis it can be seen that the students designed and built unique references to the use of certain materials of the school culture. Objects such as backpacking, this place was associated with regionalized expression, "Cartapacio" which consisted of a cloth bag to carry books in tow. In time and space analyzed it developed a unique school culture, based on different uses of certain specific objects and appropriations associated to some extension , the regional characteristics.
