Numerical analysis of the combustion in an atmospheric crown-burner for domestic applications
2007
This work shows the numerical overview point of a combustion process occurring in a crown-burner type in atmospheric operation, using a CFD
commercial code. The fuel used is methane. Was analyzed one geometrical configuration of burner, characterizing the fluid-dynamic response of this
geometry using a global kinetic model. Turbulence parameters and species were analyzed. Was used the Eddy Dissipation Concept ? EDC model to the kineticturbulence interaction. Several important factors in the combustion, for example,
recirculation zones near to flame are analyzed.
