Patologia cutaneo-mucosa infiammatoria nei pazienti trapiantati di rene

2009
Cutaneous and mucosal complications are frequent in renal transplant recipients. These lesions are mainly related to prolonged use of immunosuppressive drugs that predispose to infections. Literature data reports cutaneous manifestations up to 70% of tranplanted patients. The aim of our study was to evaluate prevalence of skin lesions in kidneys transplant recipents and their correlations with immunosuppressive therapy and demographic data. A retrospective analysis was performed using medical records of kidney recipients transplanted at IRCCS Fondazione Policlinico San Matteo of Pavia. Diagnose of cutaneous lesions have been made by evaluation of skin, mucous membranes, nails and hair; when necessary serologic, coltural and bioptic evaluations have been performed. Skin and mucosal lesions were reported in 95.7% of transplant recipients. In conclusion cutaneous manifestations are frequent in kidney transplanted patients. Early and continued dermatologic surveillance is in order to make early diagnosis, to start adequate treatment, follow up and avoid long term damages.
