M-Tutoring: Integración de tecnologías para mejorar el trabajo tutorial

RESUMEN: Se presenta el resultado de una investigacion instrumentada en la Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico, que tiene como objetivo mejorar la calidad de interaccion tutorial entre alumnos y profesores, aprovechando la infraestructura informativa que la institucion ha construido para el trabajo tutorial. Se aplico el paradigma metodologico “investigacion-accion” en donde un grupo de alumnos exploran y aplican diversas herramientas informaticas y modalidades de comunicacion con sus profesores. Despues de una valoracion de esta experiencia realizada con alumnos de un programa academico especifico, se expone una propuesta de colaboracion y trabajo tutorial sustentada en la utilizacion de dispositivos moviles para el aprendizaje como tabletas digitales y telefonos inteligentes, conocida como M-learning, aunque aplicada al trabajo tutorial hemos denominado M-tutoring. Una de las caracteristicas principales de esta propuesta es que no sustituye la comunicacion presencial cara a cara entre alumno y tutor, sino que ofrece un canal adicional de comunicacion, aprovechando la informacion institucional escolar del alumno y la cultura de interaccion de los jovenes mediante sus dispositivos moviles, todo para mejorar la calidad del trabajo tutorial en esta universidad. ABSTRACT: Presents the result of an investigation that is instrumented at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico, that are intended to improve the quality of tutorial interaction between students and teachers, taking advantage of the information infrastructure that the institution has built for tutorial work. Applied the methodological paradigm “Research-Action” where a group of students explore and apply different tools and methods of communication with their professors. After an assessment of this experience with a specific academic program students, presents a proposal for collaboration and work tutorial based on the use of mobile learning devices as digital tablets and smart phones, known as M-learning, although applied to the work of the tutorial have called M-tutoring. One of the main features of this proposal is that the face-to-face communication does not replace face to face between student and tutor, but it offers an additional channel of communication, taking advantage of school institutional student information and culture interaction of young people through their mobile devices, all to improve the quality of the work tutorial in this University.
