Investigation on the Trend of Rubber Technology in Japan Institute of International Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP), Far East Section (FES), Technical Operating Committee (TOC)

IISRP FES TOC has investigated the trend on rubber technology in Japan for this decade. The investigation was made by classification of technologies in reports presented at conferences and technical award winners given by The Society of Rubber Industry, Japan (SRIJ).The summaries were shown as follows.1) Increase of presentation from universities and public research institutes2) Continued tendency of many presentations about properties and those basic analysis3) Increase of studies on filler and reinforcement4) Peak of presentations numbers on blending and composite at 2000 and 20015) Tendency of constant polymer modification studies6) Increase of studies on silica in fillers/reinforcement studies7) Recognition of presentation about nano-fillers 2003 onwards8) Decline of dynamic vulcanization 2003 onwards9) Increase of analysis using 3D technology and large synchrotron radiation
