Grid Development for State Codes Regarding the Lighting and Marking of Agricultural Equipment on Roads

A review of traffic codes for all 50 states was conducted through an on-line LEXIS computer database search to gain an accurate perception of the lighting and marking configurations required on slow moving vehicles. Motor vehicle lighting and marking codes were also collected to gain insight into color, size, and intensity restrictions for vehicle lights within each state. State code information was organized by using a list of questions and summarizing the answers in grid format. The condensed grid was coded to allow a comparison of all fifty states for a particular question.
