Cortactin in non-small cell lung cancer invasion and metastasis

2014
Cortactin is a kind of cytoskeletal protein. It involves in tumor invasion and metastasis by cell motility, extracelhlar matrix degradation, anoikis, cell adhesion between tumor ceils and stromal microenvironment and other pathways.Recent studies have shown that Cortactin is overexpressed in many malignant tumors, including non small cell lung cancer, colorectal carcinoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, hepatocellular tumor, breast cancer, and osteosarcoma. This review summarizes the structure, role in tumor invasion and metastasis, and relationship with non-small cell lung cancer of Cortactin. Key words: Cortactin ;  Non-small cell lung cancer ;  Invasion;  Metastasis
