Application of rep-PCR technique for the identification of lactic acid bacteria.

In this paper isolates from traditionally fermented dairy were characterized in the Tongliao range of Inner Mongolia by rep-PCR technique.Diversity of Lactic acid bacteria is investigated.Differentiation ability of single primer PCR-BOX-PCR was strong to the tested strains.From the results we found that lactic acid bacteria shown high diversity in this region.Lactobacillus plantarum,Lactobacillus helveticus,Lactobacillus casei,Enterococcus faecalis,Lactococcus lactis and Leuconostoc pseudomesenteroides were the normal species.Among these species Lactobacillus plantarum is the dominant species.In addition we found that the representative bands of the same group of Lactic acid bacteria species shared similar characterization;furthermore this provides theoretical basis for the rapid identification of lactic acid bacteria.
