Effect of Band Rings Fixation and Complete Coronal Restoration in Treatment of 420 Cracked Posterior Teeth

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of band rings fixation and complete coronal restoration in the treatment of incompletely fractured posterior teeth.Methods:With band rings bonded and fixed the incompletely fractured Posterior teeth,and carried out full range root canal treatment,then fixed and repaired it with metal or PFM full crown,and followed-up survey lasted 6 to 72 months.Results:365 cases ware judged to be successful,and 37 were failed.The clinical effects were influenced by many factors.The crack depth and the periodontal pocket depth also affected the success rate in the treatment.Conclusion:Band rings fixtion and complete coronal restoration are an effective method to treat the incompletely fractured posterior teeth,meanwhile,it can benefit clinical operation and reduce the patients' anguish.
