Risk factors evaluation and nursing countermeasures in fall of elderly patients with cerebral infarction

Objective To investigate risk factors evaluation in fall of elderly patients with cerebral infarction,and analyze effective nursing measures in order to prevent elderly patients with cerebral infarction fell accidentally happen.Methods 84 patients with cerebral infarction were selected in our hospital from January 2007 to June 2011,who were randomly divided into control group(42 cases) and observation group(42 cases).Patients used only the conventional education without giving fall risk assessment as a control group.Patients used fall risk assessment and took measures to prevent the fall of publicize the knowledge as a observation group.Two groups were analyzed and compared with accidental fall situation.Results Time in 22: 00-8:00 was high time in accidental falls.Location of fall occurred mostly at the bedside.The injured area was the head.fall frequency of 60-70 years old patient were highest.Accident occurrence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,there was a significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion A comprehensive assessment of the elderly stroke patients with accidental falls risk factors has to be done,which can increase the supporting security infrastructure.That can strengthen patient safety education and medication nursing.Making science and reasonable nursing,rehabilitation training can effectively prevent the elderly stroke patients fell accidentally occur.That is a safe and effective treatment method,which is worthy of clinical use.
