Lipoma da cisterna quadrigêmea/cerebelo-mesencefálica

Three female patients, respectively 1-, 10- and 17 years-old, presenting with lipoma of the quadrigeminal and cerebellomesencephalic cistern are reported. The diagnosis was made by characteristics CT scan and MR images. The clinical presentation was respectively hydrocephalus, epilepsy and headache. No patients required direct surgical approach to the lesion but a VP shunt was inserted in the patient with hydrocephalus. Sixty other cases found in the literature were reviewed.
