한약추출 부산물의 반추위 in vitro 소화율, in situ 소실률 및 유효 분해도에 관한 연구

2014
An in vitro degradation rate and in situ ruminal disappearance trial was conducted to evaluate the nutritional and feed values of herbal medicine by-products (HMB). Major ten materials for preparing oriental herbal medicine, Ginseng radix alba (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer.), Hoelen (Poria cocos Wolf), Glycyrrhizae radix (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.), Angelicae gigantis radix (Angrlica gigas Nakai), Cnidii rhizoma (Cnidium officinale Makino), Paeoniae radix (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.), Astragali radix (Astragalus membranaceus Bunge), Zingiberis rhizoma crudus (Zingiberis officinale Roscoe), Ziziphi fructus (Ziziphus jujuba var. inermis Mill.), and Aurantii nobilis pericarpium (Citrus unshiu Marcow.) were used in the experiment. Two ruminally cannulated Holstein dairy cow (average BW 620kg) fed a 60:40 concentrate:timothy diet were used to evaluate in vitro degradation rate and in situ disappearance. Dry matter degradation rates were increased by the addition of 3% and 5% HMB with the statistical differences (P<0.05) in most of the values tested. Average pepsin digestibility (68.17%) of HMB was lower than that of corn and soybean meal. Rumen dry matter disappearance rates of Ginseng radix alba, Angelicae gigantis radix and Ziziphi fructus were significantly (P<0.05) higher, those of Hoelen, Glycyrrhizae radix and Astragali radix were significantly (P<0.05) lower than those of timothy hay. The average DMD of HMB at 12 and 24 h (38.10 and 44.43%) were higher 36.60% and 43.25%, respectively compared to those of timothy hay (Control). Effective rumen degradability calculated with the degradation parameters of Ginseng radix alba, Cnidii rhizoma, Angelicae gigantis radix, Ziziphi fructus and Aurantii nobilis pericarpium was quiet higher than that of control as in the DMD. These results suggest that herbal medicine by-products (HMB) can be used as roughage sources for ruminant animals.
