Study on Features of Greenhouse Gas and Its Changing Trends in East Asia from 1991 to 2004

2007
Utilizing the data of the greenhouse gases(GHGs) of atmosphere from 1991 to 2004 provided by NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory, including carbon dioxide and methane data at Korea of Tae-ahn Peninsula,Mongolia of Ulaan Uul and China of Waliguan stations, the atmospheric concentrations and their trends of GHGs in East Asia in 14 years were analyzed. The results show that the monthly and annually averaged concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere are obviously increasing in East Asia in 14 years. The annual linear incremental rates of carbon dioxide are approximate for three stations, with an average of 1.91×10~(-6) a~(-1) and reflecting consistent seasonal variations. From the coast to inland, the concentrations of both the two GHGs decrease gradually with the increase of the altitude.
