Desempenho ponderal de cordeiros confinados alimentados com diferentes dietas / Ponderal development of lambs fed with different diets

It was aimed to evaluate the weight gain of lambs fed with alfalfa hay or guacu grass hay supplemented with concentrate ration. It was used 24 Santa Ines lambs breed and the diets consisted of 30% forage and 70% concentrate. The average daily gain weight was not affected (P>0.05) by diets and the overall mean was of 253 g/animal/day. It was concluded that diets consisting of guacu grass hay and concentrated ration with or without urea, is an option to feed lambs, because they attend the nutritional requirements of animals, similarly as alfalfa hay.
