Homology of 38 methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureusisolates

OBJECTIVE To investigate the evolutionary pattern of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) and analyze the homology so as to provide basis for the prevention of MRSA.METHODS Rep-PCR was used to analyze the homology of MRSA isolates isolated from different patients and surroundings.RESULTS All of 38 MRSA could be amplified 6-8 amplificatory DNA fragments by rep-PCR with the typing rate of 100.0%.The main type in hospital was rep-Ⅰin the rep-PCR classified genotypes;the cluster analysis was performed by cross checker and spss software;in the 38 MRSA isolates,the rep-Ⅰtype was 29 strains,the rep-Ⅱtype was 3 strains,the rep-Ⅲ type was 2 strains,the rep-Ⅳ type was 1 strain,and the rep-Ⅴ type was 3 strains.CONCLUSION The dominant epidemic strain of MRSA is rep-Ⅰtype and alone the spread might exist.
