Asymmetric crotylation of aldehydes catalyzed by derivatives of amino acids

A series of L-valine-based catalysts for the crotylation of aldehydes with Z-crotyltrichlorosilane has been developed at ambient temperature. Secondary alcohol with good enantioselectivity can be obtained without being resorted to extremely low temperature.
