The Carcinogenic Potential of 835.62 MHz FMCW and 847.74 MHz CDMA Radiations: Ongoing Studies

2002
Any overall conclusions from this work can only be based on the completed portion and, therefore, must be qualified as such. However, extensive work in specific areas warrants conclusions regarding the role of the studied RF signals in certain aspects of the neoplastic process. The evidence is becoming increasingly convincing that 835.62 MHz MCW and 847.74 MHz CDMA at 0.6 W/Kg are not genotoxic and are probably not initiators of the neoplastic process. The studies completed so far show no evidence for an epigenetic contribution from either 835.62 MHz FMCW or 847.74 MHz CDMA at 0.6 W/Kg to the neoplastic process or to an altered tumor growth rate. However, ongoing work needs to be completed and certainly more work will need to be undertaken before any possible epigenetic mechanisms associated with RF exposures can be excluded.
