Exponentially stable guaranteed cost control for uncertain neutral type systems with time-delay

2009
This article investigates the exponential stable guaranteed cost control problem for a class of uncertain neutral type systems with time-delay. Based on the Lyapunov second method, the linear memoryless state feedback control laws are designed such that the closed-loop system is exponentially stable and the closed-loop cost function value is not inure than a specified upper bound for all admissible uncertainty. The sufficient conditions for the existence of the exponential stable guaranteed cost controller are presented in the term of LMIs. Moreover; the design problem of the optimal exponential stable guaranteed cost controller for the system is cast into a standard convex optimization problem with LMIs constraints. Finally, two simulations results are presented to show the effectiveness and less conservativeness of our proposed method.
