PREVENTIVE APPROACHES TO DIAGNOSTICS OF ANXIETY-DEPRESSIVE DISORDERS IN PATIENTS OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

2013
The purpose of the work was to identify the level of anxiety and depressive disorders in patients in primary care. Patients with essential hypertension (EH), with coronary heart disease (CHD), with diabetes mellitus (DM) aged 35 to 67 years were examined. The control group consisted of patients who have applied for a checkup. To identify and assess the severity of depression and anxiety the scale HADS (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale) was used. The high incidence of significant depression and anxiety were identified subclinically and clinically in patients in primary care. These data indicate the need for timely assessment of anxiety severity and depressive disorders in patients with somatic diseases, not only clinically, but also through pathopsychological making it possible to verify reliably these diseases and prescribe appropriate treatment
