EVALUACIÓN DEL IMPACTO ECONÓMICO DE LOS SAGS EN USUARIOS INDUSTRIALES EN UN SISTEMA DE DISTRIBUCIÓN. Economic impact of SAGS for industrial consumers in a distribution system

Modern industries use equipments that are highly sensitive to fluctuations in voltage supply, known as SAGS, which cause failures and outages of several minutes, and even hours. It is convenient to take into account a methodology which permits to identify, evaluate, and if possible, penalize the responsible entities of the damages that SAGS can cause in the industry. This paper proposes the use of Bayesian networks for the identification, classification, and evaluation of the economic losses caused by SAGS in the industries. Finally, it is presented a case of applying the methodology to a power system in the malting industry.
