Теоретико-методологічні засади гендерних досліджень в економіці

The necessity of concretization of the "gender" category in the context of economic research is grounded. It is identified, that the application of gender ideas in science can be an effective analysis methodology, which is based on two concepts – social construction of gender and gender composition. It is proved, that position of gender in the economics couldn’t be limited by particular ideological framework, because it is a fundamental principle of economic and social life. The need to forming of gender economics as a new area of economic research focusing on the mechanisms of gender equality in the formal and informal sectors of the economy is detected.
