The Impact of the Single Digital Gateway Regulation from the Citizens’ Perspective

Abstract The EU Single Digital Gateway Regulation (SDGR) brings various services and methodologies under the same roof in order to set rules and guidelines on how to implement uniform public services in the member states. The challenge of maintain uniformity in the regulation might have left the room for difficulty in meeting the customer requirement. It may contain only the minimal set of requirements that are acceptable for all EU countries and positively influence the citizens by solving their problems; however, some of the member countries are already quite successful in digital transformation. This paper aims to understand the impact of the SDGR regulation in Estonia by exploring the university’s admission processes possible changes within the SDGR framework.
