Research progress on the relationship between osteoarthritis and life-related genes
2018
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disease of active joints that is closely related to age. With the increase of age, chondrocytes gradually aging, synthetic and metabolic abilities gradually declined, cartilage matrix can not be effectively synthesized to maintain the amount of cartilage and cartilage structure, resulting in the occurrence of OA. In recent years, with the progress of OA pathogenesis in the field of genetics, the relationship between OA and the genes related to "aging" and "longevity" has gradually become the focus of research and made breakthrough progress. This article reviews current research on the relationship between "aging genes", "longevity genes" and the pathogenesis of OA at home and abroad, and provides a reference for prevention and clinical treatment of OA.
