SIMULTANEOUS ENDOVASCULAR TREATMENT OF LERICHE SYNDROME AND RENAL ARTERY STENOSIS

2015
Current guidelines recommend that percutaneous  therapy is a reasonable option  for patients with complex aortoiliac occlusive disease and high operative risk; however TransAtlantic Inter-Society Consensus II document suggested that surgery should be the preferred strategy for type D aortoiliac occlusions. Here we present a case with leriche syndrome (with type D aortoiliac occlusion) accompany to severe renal artery stenosis. In the light of current guidelines, recent trials and case reports/series but in contrast to TransAtlantic Inter-Society Consensus II document, we performed a successful percutaneous intervention to the both of peripheral artery diseases at the same session and presented six-month follow up.
