Bubble-size distributions in foams

1992
Abstract Bubble-size distributions in foams can be used to study foam properties and to distinguish between the physical processes that contribute to the breakdown of the foam. These processes are drainage, coalescence and disproportionation. A new Foam Analyzer was developed to measure various foam characteristics like the rate of drainage, the rate of foam collapse, the gas fraction in the foam and the bubble-size distribution.
