Rousseau, the free man

This work reviews Jean-Jacques Rousseau's liberal theses in his central works, particularly in The social Contract, Emilio and Letters written from the mountain. The analysis includes Rousseau's deba- tes with the Encyclopaedists as well as with the religious and political powers of his time, both in France and Geneve.
