The purpose of this chapter is to explore the new trends and horizons of shoulder arthroplasty. It will begin with a brief historical view of the development of shoulder arthroplasty, and evolution of indications. In general shoulder arthroplasty can be divided into several categories; by constrained/non-constrained/semi-constrained; by humeral resurfacing, stemmed humeral component; by hemiarthroplasty or as total shoulder arthroplasty with glenoid resurfacing; anatomical or reverse total shoulder arthroplasty; cemented or cementless technique.
