. A patient with Whipple's disease and intestinal villous atrophy for many years developed a typical skin lesion of dermatitis herpetiformis. This suggests that the intestinal manifestation might precede the dermal changes of dermatitis herpetiformis. Further, the relationship between dermatitis herpetiformis enteropathy and Whipple's disease is discussed.
